Company History

Dashe & Thomson, Inc. was founded in Minneapolis in 1981 by Jean Thomson and Marilyn Dashe to provide business and technical writing seminars. By 1984, the majority of clients were asking Dashe & Thomson to design and develop their documentation and training.

While the company initially focused on training and documentation, Dashe & Thomson began to see that organizations were facing significant challenges as they implemented enterprise-wide software systems, integrated acquisitions, and re-engineered processes. Dashe & Thomson's skills were perfectly matched to support these evolving needs.

Over the past last 10 years, Dashe & Thomson has provided services that integrate change management, process redesign, eLearning development, curriculum design, blended learning, as well as documentation. The company has developed a flexible organization with a broad range of skills and knowledge that allows it to create custom solutions that fit each client’s needs.

National Expansion

When the technology bubble burst in the early 2000s, demand increased for Dashe & Thomson's services. Companies realized that simply "flipping the switch" on enterprise software systems did not guarantee a return on investment. As a result, Dashe & Thomson became the go-to player for companies that were serious about fully utilizing their systems and processes.

Global Recognition

In recent years, Dashe & Thomson has formalized partnerships with global software providers, to help their customers gain as-promised benefits related to their offerings. Dashe now works with customers throughout the United States and Europe. In 2008, Dashe & Thomson was named to Inc. Magazine's list of the country's 5000 fastest-growing companies, with a national ranking of 25th among education companies.
