The Need
A major healthcare organization was implementing the Epic electronic medical records system. The system was being used within the healthcare organization as well as within a group of hospitals and clinics the organization had purchased. Although training was needed for the new employees, the organization’s Epic trainers were busy training other employees. The organization needed to find trainers who could perform the training and who could relate easily to hospital personnel.
Solution
Dashe & Thomson provided training facilitators with experience training on software systems in hospital settings, as well as experience with medical records software. Because of their hospital setting and medical records software background, the training facilitators were able to get up to speed quickly on the Epic training materials they were provided, and delivered the training at both local and national sites.
Results
The outcome was successful. The organization had professional, experienced trainers provide the training that was needed. The company trainers were not overworked and delivering training under pressure. The new employees felt the Dashe & Thomson trainers understood the hospital environment and were knowledgeable about the Epic electronic patient medical records system.
