Training Delivery – Case 1
Industry: Apparel
The Need
A national apparel manufacturing/distribution company was implementing a new software system for its clothing designers. The new system enforced best practices and required extensive changes to work processes. The young, highly creative users thrived on social contact and lively discussion. Training delivery needed to be non-traditional, addressing the users need for social interactivity.

Solution
To meet the manufacturer’s unique needs, Dashe & Thomson delivered highly customized classroom training sessions. We designed a stable, robust training environment that mirrored the company’s production environment. The trainers personalized the training materials so the trainees could buy-in to the new processes along with the new software. Interactivity was enhanced through discussions, simulations, and games. In addition, training labs were set up so users received individualized attention from the trainer in a group setting.

Results
Users had a functioning training environment that allowed them to learn on a system similar to the one they would use when they went back to their jobs. The emphasis on classroom interactivity and group labs ensured that these users were highly engaged, learning in tandem with their peers, and functioning in a social setting as they would in their work environment.
