Quality/Regulatory Support – Case 2

The Need

A global aerospace and defense company needed to review and validate its QES compliance management plans as well as the aligned processes and testing/monitoring approaches. The company also needed to implement business processes in the business process model. The client needed a consultant with experience in the AS process environment including Visio Diagrams, Excel spreadsheets, MS Word, and Stellent Content Management.

Solution

Dashe & Thomson provided a quality system analyst who reviewed and discussed the existing compliance plans with the designated compliance authorities. Where the plans fell short of goals, or process/data testing results were inadequate, the quality system analyst developed process testing options for consideration and adoption by the Compliance Authority. The analyst:

• Met with Process Champions to determine process requirements for designated business processes in accord with the established business process plan, and developed or revised the processes.
• Drafted proposed processes/tests, using Visio process diagrams.
• Expedited negotiations on recommended process testing approaches and near-term adoption of the processes with the compliance authorities.

Results

Dashe & Thomson’s consultant was able to review and verify 22 compliance monitoring plans across applicable AS departments and sites. The consultant implemented the business processes in the company business process model, published them in their Stellent Content Management system, and provided the necessary support.
