Jon joined Dashe and Thomson in 2003 as Director of Consulting, and assumed the role of President in 2005. Prior to joining Dashe & Thomson, Jon was co-founder and Vice President of Yatra Corp, a technology company subsequently acquired by Dublin-based Datalex Communications. Before that, Jon spent 10 years in leadership positions at Carlson Companies, Inc. He has degrees in Journalism and Organizational Development/Communications from the University of St. Thomas. Jon serves on the Board of Directors for Hammer Residences, a Minneapolis-based nonprofit organization that provides housing and services for people with disabilities.
Jolene joined Dashe & Thomson in 2007 as Vice President of Instructional Design and eLearning after working with the company for over 12 years as a contract Senior Consultant and Project Lead. During her years with Dashe & Thomson, Jolene has led enterprise-wide training projects for major companies in the Twin Cities, including RBC Wealth Management, Lawson Software, and H.B. Fuller. Prior to that, Jolene worked as Senior Training Consultant for Prudential Home Mortgage, where she was instrumental in starting up their training organization, and for Norwest University, where she designed curriculum, developed training, and facilitated classroom training for employees and correspondent banks throughout the US. As a parent of four children, Jolene enjoys getting outdoors and any opportunity to read.
Currently Vice President of Instructional Design Services, Andrea joined Dashe & Thomson as Director, ERP Training in 2005 after working with the company as a contract Senior Consultant/Project Lead for almost 5 years in the areas of instructional design, training development, change management and communications. Prior to Dashe & Thomson, Andrea was an SAP Training and Change Management Consultant and Project Lead for DDS, Inc., where she provided consulting services to major companies in the Twin Cities, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Houston, and Saudi Arabia. Andrea specializes in customized instructional design and training development for large-scale ERP implementations, and in recent years her focus has shifted to primarily providing certified employee training programs for the propane industry. She is passionate about helping her clients find the best solutions to their unique training and performance challenges. She is a member of the Association for Talent Development (ATD) and the eLearning Guild where she has served as a speaker at their national conferences. At home Andrea is a voracious reader, a long-time Girl Scout Troop Leader, and she does her best to keep up with her teenage and not-quite-teenage daughters.
Ben has over 25 years of experience in consultative selling. His focus has primarily been in technology (hardware, software and data & analytics) with some time spent in the medical field. Ben’s underlying motivations are his enjoyment in working with people and his natural curiosity to understand complex issues and find solutions. In his career Ben has represented organizations such as Bronson Pharmaceuticals, Harmon Contract, IKON, Thomson Reuters and CoStar. As such he has shown an aptitude to be proficient in issues ranging from physiology to engineering, technology, law and commercial real estate. In his free time Ben enjoys cooking and spending time with his family. He is a competitive triathlete and loves adrenaline sports such as surfing, down-hill skiing and kick-boxing.
Claire joined Dashe & Thomson in 2011 after working as an instructional design consultant for five years. Prior to that, she spent several years working as a trainer and instructional designer for the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland. She has developed and delivered training both nationally and internationally, for a range of industries and systems, from large-scale ERP implementations to specialized, soft skills training programs. Claire has a degree in Psychology from Brigham Young University. In her spare time she enjoys reading, cooking, travel, and cycling.
Eric joined Dashe & Thomson as a Creative Director in 2012. Prior to joining Dashe, he worked as a Front End Web Developer at Hello Viking, a local digital ad agency specializing in web and social media. He has a passion for visual problem solving and user experience design—In other words, he has a whiteboard and isn’t afraid to use it. Everyday tools: Photoshop, Articulate Storyline, WordPress and caffeine. Hobbies include guitar, watching Netflix documentaries and font-snobbery.
David joined Dashe & Thomson in 2014 after working as an eLearning Developer for a year. Prior to that, he worked at 3M Alexandria, and did outside sales for Ideal Service. David has a passion for technology and laughter. Favorite hobbies include movies, magic, and meat. David even has been known to perform a magic trick around the office every once in a while.
Heather joined the Dashe & Thomson team on a permanent basis in 2014 after contracting with them as an editor for the previous two years. She spent ten years in Educational Administration at the post-secondary level. She currently spends a lot of time at the Minnesota Zoo and the Minnesota Children’s Museum watching her son discover the world. She has a passion for reading and will read anything she can get her hands on, though Sandra Boynton and Dr. Seuss are more likely to be on the day’s reading agenda than anything on the New York Times Best Sellers List.
Ms. Pandya is a change management professional specializing in helping corporations change the way they think about communications within their organizations. After graduating with a Communications degree from the University of Maryland, she has helped to manage a national campaign on cybersecurity awareness, assisted in the development of a crisis communication plan for a government agency, proposed a strategy which revitalized an international organization’s internal communication process, and was the lead communication strategist for a national medical association. As seen by these roles, she has been able to identify and develop a niche and passion for communication.
Henry joined Dashe & Thomson in 2016, after working as a consultant with the team for six months. Prior to his role as an instructional designer, Henry lived in Korea for five years, teaching English to everyone from kindergartners to experienced professionals in the workforce. While in Korea, he broadened his communication skills and developed insight into how the learner’s perspective should impact learning. With a degree in History, Henry loves to learn how everything connects within the world around him. His passions include reading, writing, and eating his way around the globe.
Andy joined Dashe & Thomson in the early part of 2015. Prior to working at Dashe, he worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield in their internal communications department. He really enjoys photography, film and anything creative. He has a passion for learning new technologies and software; be sure to ask him what he’s been tinkering with lately! At Dashe & Thomson you’ll see him working in: Articulate Storyline, Photoshop, Audition, After Effects and Premiere Pro. In his spare time, he likes reading, music, checking out the Twin Cities food scene and good conversations.
Nell has held various roles in the Learning & Development industry over the past ten years, including coordination, facilitation, recruitment, staffing, and marketing. These roles have provided her with an in-depth understanding of client needs when working with external partners. Questions like “What do our customers want? What do they need? What keeps them up at night? How can we help?” keep Nell up at night. Nell has lived and worked throughout the United States, including in Montana, Illinois, Ohio, and Las Vegas, NV throughout her adult career, giving her a unique appreciation for diverse populations and cultures. Nell has a Masters Degree in Music from Illinois State University. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her wife and two dogs (and preparing for a new baby), and extended family in both Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Having previously worked with Dashe as an independent consultant, Shane officially joined the team in 2017. He comes from an award-winning background in the magazine world, bringing his editorial and marketing knowledge to the office. Shane spent time studying international leadership in Cape Town, South Africa, fueling his passion for connecting people from various backgrounds to create a unique and high-level product. Shane received his M.A. in multicultural teaching and learning from the University of Minnesota, where he worked with the Office for Equity and Diversity’s education initiatives to create workshops designed to improve campus climate. When he’s not creating content, Shane gives into his wanderlust and spends time with his dog, Armani.
